Why Buy From Us? We are a small company and pride ourselves on personal service. We specialise in chargers and will never intentionally sell you one that will not work with your laptop or blame you for ordering the wrong one! If it does not work we will exchange it or give you a refund and learn from our mistake. You can come to us and try the charger before you buy if you wish! The Superstores and mail order companies will only accept returns if the charger is faulty not because it does not fit or work on your laptop - EVEN IF the salesperson told you it was suitable! We have been repairing laptops since they were first invented and started this website because of many of our customers' problems with chargers. The most common problems are probably; can't get one, or, got the wrong one! Many customers attempt to solve their problems quickly and cheaply by buying a Universal Adaptor that claims to fit ALL laptops! We have never seen a Universal Adaptor that will fit ALL laptops! Manufacturing one would not be cost effective! There are too many variables! We stock 6 different Universals and they each cover a range of laptops but there are some laptops that none of them is suitable for! The laptop manufacturers have made it that way so that you have to buy from them and they can charge you a hundred quid or more (Dell, Sony, Samsung and Toshiba come to mind but there are many others)! But you don't have to buy from them because we can sell you the same product!
Are there cheaper ones available? Yes there is! They are often found in computer fairs and boot sales and we have many examples in our rogues gallery. One bought for £19.99 by a customer makes the usual claim of fitting any laptop and it did, in fact, fit his. Unfortunately the claim of 2.5A output was an exaggeration of 1.5A because the true output was 1A which would charge up the battery (if left for 24 hours) but would not allow the laptop to run directly from the adaptor! His battery was quite old and good for about half hour's use so, basically he wasted £19.99! This is NOT our worse case scenario but it is one of our most common! The worse case scenario is that the charger destroys the laptop in milliseconds because the voltage is too high or the polarity is reversed! DON'T CHANCE IT - ASK US!
Why are our prices so low? We buy directly from manufacturers in quantity. We do not have expensive shop fronts. Our advertising costs are low.
